Julie Barnhill
Vice President Account Management
Julie has more than 20 years employee benefits experience, all of which have been focused specifically in Account Management and Customer Service. She is a licensed agent and began her career in 1989 at the corporate office of BlueCross and BlueShield in Richardson, Texas in Customer Service and Marketing. In 1995, she was recruited to the BCBS Lubbock Marketing Office where her responsibilities included managing key accounts such as the State of Texas, Federal Employee Program, Coca Cola, Covenant Health System, City of Lubbock, UMC and Lubbock County.
Julie joined Insurance Associates in August of 2001 as our Key Account Executive, focusing on group accounts with more than 500 employees. She is responsible for providing service and support to these accounts throughout the plan year. Her extensive experience and knowledge in the benefits field consistently proves to be invaluable to her clients. She takes great pride in the relationships she has developed with her accounts.
Julie stays informed on the latest health care trends and legislation by attending numerous seminars and training sessions each year. She recently joined a group of 1200 insurance professionals in Washington D.C. to meet with members of Congress and discuss cur- rent healthcare legislation. Julie is serving as the Community Service Chairman of the Lubbock Association of Health Underwriters.
