Julie Barnhill
Julie has more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, all of which have been focused specifically in Account Management and Customer Service. She is a licensed agent and began her employee benefits career in 1989 at the corporate office of Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Richardson, Texas. There she worked in Customer Service and Marketing. In 1995, she was recruited to the BCBS Lubbock Marketing Office where her responsibilities included managing key accounts such as the State of Texas, Federal Employee Program, Coca Cola, and Covenant Health Systems.
Julie joined Insurance Associates in August of 2001 as our Key Account Executive, focusing mainly on group accounts with more than 500 employees. Julie is responsible for providing service and support to these accounts throughout the plan year. Her extensive experience and knowledge in the benefits field consistently proves to be invaluable to her clients. She takes great pride in the relationships she has developed with her accounts.
Julie stays informed on the latest health care trends and legislation by attending numerous seminars and training sessions each year. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, allowing her to stay abreast of the issues that affect the Benefits Coordinators that depend on her expertise.
Julie and her husband, Gant, spend their free time cheering for their boys, Carter and Cole, at YFL and Little League games and enjoy taking family camping trips.
