Bill Hartsfield
Bill graduated from Texas Tech University in 1974 and immediately went to work in the employee benefits arena as a sales representative for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. In 1978, at the age of 26, he was promoted to District Manager for Lubbock and the surrounding 18 county area. He was responsible for servicing many of the largest accounts in the region including Texas Tech University, Lubbock Independent School District, Methodist Hospital, St. Mary Hospital, and Lubbock National Bank.
In 1981, Bill left BlueCross to join Insurance Associates, one of the premier independent agencies in West Texas, with a large employee benefits practice. In 1994, he purchased Insurance Associates Employee Benefit Company outright. The company has grown by 700% since that time, and has recently expanded into central Texas with an office in Abilene. With the commitment to continue providing the utmost in customer service, Bill has significantly increased support staff personnel including marketing, IT, and customer service.
Bill’s community involvement includes a three year term as a board member of Lubbock Area United Way. In addition, he continues to be an annual donor to the Covenant Foundation and served as sponsor to the Lubbock Ethical Leadership Conference.
